March of Dimes Ready for Life: Tobacco Cessation and Preconception/Interconception Health

The Ready for Life Campaign promotes positive changes in individual health behaviors through strategies including education and distribution of multivitamins to women of reproductive age with low income residing in Perinatal Care Regions (PCR) 2, 5, and 6.

This session will cover the prevalence of tobacco use in people of reproductive age, its impacts on reproductive health, and evidence-based tobacco cessation interventions and resources. Learners will gain a better understanding on the types of tobacco products commonly used, as well as the negative impacts tobacco use can have on reproductive health, and how to effectively help individuals quit tobacco use.
